Mammoth sees the band adopt an all-‐analogue, straight-‐to-‐tape approach, which they hope captures their powerful live sound. The band claim the title Mammoth says it all: “It's strong, fun, fuzzy, and earthy -‐ everything the record is”.
Pale Fires describe the 30-‐minute Mammoth as establishing their unique musical footprint. The music combines whimsical lyrics inspired by nursery rhyme with strong fuzzed-‐out riffs and powerful, intricate rhythms. The all-‐analogue approach was motivated by Pale Fires’ love of 70s records, particularly the music of Hendrix, CAN and Pink Floyd.
